Robeson County is the largest county in the state of North Carolina. As of 2004, the county had a population of 126,469; an increase of 2.54% from the 2000 census. Robeson County was incorporated in 1787 from Bladen County and was named for Col. Thomas Robeson of the Revolutionary War.

Lumberton is our county seat and we have twenty-nine townships.

Located approximately 1.5 hours from the beaches and 3 hours from the mountains, Robeson County is situated perfectly for day trips and family excursions. We invite you to come explore our beautiful county!
