The zoning department is responsible for  issuing zoning permits for any type of construction, whether it is residential or commercial and set up manufactured homes on parcels of land. Our department also reviews subdivisions for approval.

Why do I need to bring a deed?

The registered property owner must be aware and approve the placement of any type structure on his/her property.

What is a deed?

A deed is the recorded document which shows that the title to the property belongs to the individual.

When do you issue zoning permits?

We issue zoning permits from 8:15 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. in the afternoons.

Can I take the zoning permit to them?

No, the property owner must come to the office and sign the zoning application in the presence of an agent in the planning department.

Can I get an address before my house is put on the lot?

No, the house must be on the lot in order for an address to be assigned to the property.

Common Terms

Zoning Application- Application to determine zoning district and compliance of lot with the Zoning Ordinance.

Zoning Permit- Permit is issued once zoning compliance has been met.

Bill of Sale-Document showing the name of the buyer, seller, the make, model, year and serial number of a manufactured home.
